GET R DONE FRIDAY

Welcome to this weeks' segment of GET R DONE FRIDAY!

If you are visiting and would like to join us, please do! It is very easy! All you have to do is:
  • Create post about a project you have completed - it can be something 'crafty', remodeling, planting a vine or a vineyard - it's totally up to you!
  • Link in with the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.
  • Visit all the participates and leave a comment so they know you have stopped by.
  • Be sure to refer viewers back to my blog so everyone can see who is participating today, and if you like - include the GET R DONE FRIDAY picture button (seen at the top of today's post) in your write-up. Please be sure to have your post up before linking in with a perma-link. Thanks so much!
The wood trim has finally been completed in our bathroom project. We are pleased at the way it turned out, from paint colors to flooring choices. Even the 'worm box' fits in with the fishing and camping theme!
Mr. Wonderful has been working on a different project this week - the hearth that will be underneath our corn stove, and the wall behind it. Recall THIS SIGHT from Monday??I just couldn't wait till Wordless Wednesday to post about it! Later, I heard about how he 'jacked up the ceiling and main support beam to adjust the area he wished to put in the vent pipe for the stove - I'm glad I didn't see that! I did see the results, however. He cut the beam in that wall, and inserted a horizontal board and two verticals, to keep the support but allow the vent pipe to go in as he planned. If it was me, I would have sealed up the big hole, and forgot about ever putting in the corn stove! That's the difference between us, I guess!
Pardon the mess, but the house has been a disaster. Perhaps this weekend things will be closer to normal. You can see Mr. Wonderful hard at work, here. He claimed the camera flash scared him - earlier, he 'shorted out' the power, a big snap and a huge spark made us BOTH jump for a second - and the circuit breaker DOES work, thankfully.I hear him cutting the stone now, to work around the elecrical boxes in the wall.....I hoped to get pictures of it this evening, but it will have to wait for next week. Thanks for visiting - and if you wish to join in today, please sign in on Mr. Linky below, and visit any others who have signed in for GET R DONE FRIDAY!

I like the fishing lodge theme and the bathroom worked out well. Your hubby does look hard at work and look at that variety of tools.

I need a lot of remodeling around my house. I just hate going through the messy process. If your Mr. Wonderful holds out, I am sure it will be worth it all. Thanks for visiting my post. Please come again on Tuesday, 9-1.

I love your new bathroom floors! I just love the look that real hardwood floors give to a house. I can't wait to see your finished corn stove.

Good gravy, your hubby is amazing! I would have no idea what to do...maybe run in a circle, screaming and whining...but he knows what to do and can DO it!
