Tuesdays' Show and Tail - What the CLUCK?

It's time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail' over at Angela's West Virginia Treasures! If you have a cute story and picture of a pet, or any furry (or non-furry) friend, you are welcome to join in! Check her blog for the rules, post away - and thanks, Angela, for being our host!

I love to feature my fine Feathered Friends every chance I get! Last week we got our first sizeable snow of the season - about 6 inches or so. I wondered what the hens would think of it, as it is THEIR first snow EVER! When I went out to do chores, I brought my camera along to snap some shots....I opened the door to their coop....and Cleopatra has a "gander"...HUH? Lemme See, too!GOOD GRIEF! I'm hungry, but YOU go FIRST!I'd rather not....You GO, GIRL!!! - - - WhOoPsiE!...and there was much grumbling and cackling from the group! I had to clear the ramp of snow - and even then, it was difficult to convince the girls that it was no big deal - happens every year...
Again, Suzy turns a deaf ear - ..."No WONDER they're called CHICKENS..." she muttered, while Mr. Wonderful scooped the snow out of their pen! "Sissy Girls!"

Wonderful post Monica! Cleopatra is so beautiful! I remember having a chicken that looked like her. You got way more snow than we did and your snow is much prettier! Just look at all of that snow on the fence. You might be able to make them an iglo this year! Suzy didn't look like she cares much for that white stuff either! lol She wants to go South for the Winter. hehehe

Thanks for joining in again this week x 2!

I've been so inspired by "your girls" that one day a week or so ago I said to my husband that I was thinking of getting some chickens. You could have heard the proverbial pen drop. He's sooo afraid I'm serious! In this neighborhood with a bank across the street! How I would have loved to watch those hens in the snow!
