Tuesdays' Show and Tail - Little Piggies

It's time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail'! Please visit our host, Angela, at West Virginia Treasures! If you have a cute story and picture of a pet, or any furry (or non-furry) friend, you are welcome to join in! Check her blog for the rules, post away - and thanks, Angela, for being a great hostess!
My Feature Creatures this Tuesday are a pair of Guinea Pigs that I used to own.... This little piggy's name was "S'more". You can see she is tri-color, and looking very lovely all dressed up after her bath in the sink!
The second little piggy was named CupCake - doesn't she look luscious??
Both piggies enjoyed their bath time. I used bunny shampoo to bathe them. Guinea pigs make the most adorable chit-chat - they squeal and chatter as they play, and it always makes me smile!
Piggies should not be fed rabbit pellets, even though the food looks about the same. Guinea Pigs require vitamin C daily, as they cannot manufacture or metabolize it; their food pellets contain that vitamin, which protects against scurvy, and helps to keep them in good health. Vitamin C breaks down quickly, so always check the packaging dates; buy a high quality food for these furry friends!

Hey Monica!

Oh my gosh those are too cute! I have never owned a guinea pig before but I did house sit one for some friends while they were on vacation.

That is cute how they liked taking a bath!

Thanks for sharing S'more and CupCake with us this week!

They are like permanent puppies. They so little and cute. I don't think I have ever met one.
Do they make good indoor pets? Can you housebreak them?
What cute names...

That's so cute... Our girls have their own guinea pigs (Fred and Pepper) and I'll bet you money, they'll be in the tub as soon as I show this post to them.

I LOVE guinea pigs!!! We've had a lot of them over the years, but I think my favorite one was the first one I had and her name was Yakky!

She talked all the time. She was a tri-color like your S'more but had really long hair that curled up on the bottom. It looked like one of those Himalayan pack animals called Yaks, so her name worked both ways!
