Because You Love Me - a Corgi Story

I'm joining in on Tuesday's Show & Tail at Angela's West Virginia's Treasures. If you have a cute story and picture of a pet, or any furry (or non-furry) friend, you are welcome to join in! Check her blog for the rules, post away - and thanks, Angela, for being a great hostess!

Enjoy watching the bond between this Corgi and his owner - touching, and a tear-jerker!

I'm so touched I can hardly see to write this. What a beautiful video.
I hope that this never happens to Carl or Cutter(my Corgis) but it shows everyone the joy of owning and loving these little dogs. There are such special dogs and I can't imagine life without them.
Thanks....

I guess he died huh - that was so sad, but what a wonderful tribute to such a sweet dog. Sniff, sniff, sniff.

That was just incredible Monica! Winston sure is a talented corgi before and after his accident! That is so sad about how he got hurt. I didn't realize that corgi's are that fragile. They just seem so tough as nails type of dogs to me. I loved the picture of him on that round bale of hay! I thought I was the only one who did crazy things like that to their dogs! lol

Thanks for sharing this incredible video with us this week!

It's going to take me a couple of hours to download this, but, from the comments, I'm going to try! Especially, too, since my OC is in a wheelchair now. She was in another fight, and now I am having to put a child cage around her at all times and make sure there is always a barrier between her and Sadie AND Mercy. It was Mercy that did the most damage this time because I could only hang onto one dog (Sadie) at a time, but OC started it. Darn little fiesty dog! She was barely able to hobble even with her chair for several days this time. :(

My first thought was how sad and then I realized how happy the dog was rolling around playing and dancing.

Our last dog broke her back when she was ten months old. We were very fortunate and growth plate broke off and made room for the spinal cord. It was kind of "S" shaped and they were able to operate and put it back in place. Her spinal cord was bruised, but it didn't take long before she was walking fine again. She had pins coming out from the side of her spine to hold it together from the outside and let the bones knit together. We couldn't let her jump or run for six weeks. The first two weeks were easy, but after that she was ready to go. Seeing that little dog reminds me of how very lucky we were with Shelby. She lived to be 14 years old and never had any trouble with her back.
