Visitor of the Week at Camp Grandma!

My oldest grandchild is staying here with Mr. Wonderful and me - it's "Camp Grandma" this week! We started off the day with oatmeal for breakfast, and because I made too much, the hens got to share the bounty. They were pleased to see Viv, and would not leave her alone once she started passing out the goodies!
Then, it was off to the feed store, for sunflower seeds, chicken feed, and wood shavings.
There was lots to see at the feed store - halters, buckets, brushes, plants, and storage bins. Even candy.....
After they loaded our truck for us, we went to Seinz Greenhouses. What a great sale they had! Loads of veggies, tons of flowers, bushes, annuals, hanging baskets - wow! We got a small cart full of things to plant for Wednesday's activities!
In the afternoon, it was off to the vet for Sissy - she has another bladder infection, poor Corgi.
We gave Sissy a bath, and some cheese with her medicine. Vivian is going to give her another pill with cheese for her bedtime snack. Sissy has to have pills for 2 whole weeks! Yep, it's that bad! But in another couple days she should begin to feel better.

We are going to make Strawberry Shortcakes OUR bedtime snack. Viv is the strawberry expert. She learned how to chop them up last summer when she stayed with us.

More adventures tomorrow - we have a lot of plans in the works for the remainder of our visit together.!

Have a GREAT DAY!

Hey Grandma! That sounds like great fun except for poor Sissy. I hope she gets better soon! Would love to go to that greenhouse you went to. We don't have anything like that around here.

Viv looks like she is enjoying her quality time with her Grandma! She sure is a pretty young lady! And yum to the strawberry shortcakes!

Hugs,
Angela

Monica, I see Earth Grains has removed that link from their site...guess it had expired. That's my life story, a day late and a dollar short!

Enjoy her while you can. They grow up so fast, and seems they enjoy other things than us older folks. I always enjoy visiting you and chickens.

Sounds like a great week at Camp Grandma's except for poor little Sissy! If their ears are down, a corgi just isn't happy!
Have fun kids! Viv is a little cutie!
