A Wrinkle in Time

Lookee Here! What a great HAUL this morning, eh?
Eggs, eggs, and More eggs! Everything seems "picture perfect", doesn't it? But, look again. Closer. Click and enlarge the picture below, if you have to, to see the wrinkled truth....
Do you see it? Do you see the wrinkles? Kind of like the difference between our daily lives and our "blog lives"...Everything can look so smooth and lovely from afar...but when you get up closely, you can see the flaws...The Wrinkles.

Wrinkles are a part of reality. Old age, certainly. There can be wrinkles in the plans for our lives, which come about by error, the economy, mean spirited people, or "just because". I've hit a "wrinkle" nearly 2 years ago when I was "downsized". It wasn't the first upset in my life, and it certainly won't be my last. Somehow we get through it all. We can't choose what kind of bumps are in our roads but we can choose how we perceive them. The government has refused any additional federal extensions for unemployed workers. I feel badly for them, badly for me. No matter how hard we have tried, how many applications we send out daily, many of us are still unemployed. But we must continue on, looking for jobs, looking for the bright spots in life...

..Small blessings...Things we enjoy doing...Things we do for others. And we keep trying. Because life is an Adventure. The Greatest Show on Earth!

Blessings -

I know the wrinkles are hard to take in life - have had a few myself - guess we have to learn some how to accept them as part of life and move on with them.

It's not easy.

Sometimes the flicker of hope gets a little smaller too.

But life does go on - right my dear friend?

Love,
sandie

Hey Monica!

What a wild looking wrinkled egg you have there! Do you know which chicken laid that one? It is a pretty big egg too.

Your flowers are gorgeous! Love your chickens and hens. And your hen of course! hehehe

I really hope and pray that you will find a job really soon!

Hugs,
Angela

Enjoyed every wrinkle you shared today. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Our lives were not meant to be perfect. We just have to prepare ourselves to deal whatever blow comes our way. Take care.

Very true post Monica! We can relate completely with the frustration of unemployment. it is so frightening. Troy an I just keep plugging along doing all kinds of odds and ends to bring income in.
