Tuesdays' Show & Tail - See Ya Later, Gator!

Time for Tuesday's Show & Tail!  Our host,Angela of West Virginia Treasures, is missing in action today, due to the arrival of a new baby Nephew - - so I'm posting a Show and Tail feature anyways.  Congratulations, Angela, on your new Nephew!!!  Prayers for health and wellness, for both your sister and her new baby!

Florida sheriff's deputies sprang into action Monday morning when a seven-foot alligator made its way toward a group of school children.
A school crossing guard first spotted the gator on a street in Oldsmar and called authorities.

Deputies quickly arrived and called for a trapper, but decided they couldn't wait when the reptile entered the street and began heading towards a group of children walking to Forest Lakes Elementary School.

Three deputies worked to lasso the gator's head.

After a short tussle they were able to tape its mouth shut and secure its back feet with handcuffs.
...and a fashionable Hoodie too!
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission took custody of the gator until the trapper arrived.

See ya later, alligator!

Jim once had a gator chase him to the top of a picnic table in a Florida park. Now...my Jim is 6'2 1/2, and 300 lbs......can you imagine such a sight? He was having lunch...and that's what happened! Ugh...gators would totally freak me out.

You gotta love the handcuffs on the gator! I just couldn't imagine running into one. I'm glad that caught that one before it made it to the school kids!

Thanks for the well wishes! Baby and mommy are doing well!

Oh Monica I LOVED that story - you have the best things on your blog. Poor alligator, but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Handcuffs, teehee.

I saw this on the News, he was a big guy. Glad they got him under control and off the streets..gives the chills just looking at him. We have several in the lake near our house. Don't like them at all.

Yikes! I'm glad we don't have to deal with gator's around here in California. We have enough trouble with to politicians and the gang members!

Oh my, this is one reason I am glad I don't live in Florida however, ask me again in January--I may be willing to take that chance :)

OH MY! How scary for the kids AND their MOMS (after they heard about this!)

Corgidogmama's hubby's situation was scary too! I'm sure glad there aren't any of those things around here. When we were in FL on that Road Trip, I was always nervous about stopping by to much foliage in case one would come out and try to snatch a corgi! I used to have nightmares about those things!!! Linda
