The news has been warning of a blizzard to hit our area for nearly a week now. Angela in West Virginia first alerted me to the broadcasts she heard in their local news. I watched the skies last evening before bed and I admit, I was a scoffer. But look who is not scoffing NOW!!!
Winter is for the BIRDS...but even THEY don't look too thrilled!

Monica, loved seeing more of that wonderful home of yours. The horses looked pretty with snow on them. It's so strange to have such a fierce winter...it's been a long time since we've been hit so hard. Even the library closed and we're still at Level One Snow Emergency. Poor Josh has been working double shifts at the grocery store this week, the perils of living right behind the plaza!
Wow! That is a lot of snow! It is pretty though. Your house looks beautiful snow covered like that! I feel bad for the animals outside though. The wind here is fierce! West Virginia didn't get any snow at all from that storm! Looks like you got it all!
Well - - - was there driving snow so thick you couldn't see and would get lost if you stepped more than a foot outside your door? THAT'S what I call a blizzard and even growing up in the northwoods of Wisconsin, I ain't niver seed one!
I've seen plenty o snow storms - - - nary one blizzard.
Beautiful pics! Looks like you got your snow! They say we are actually going to get some this Friday night/Sat. morning. I'm afraid it is going to freeze our grain hay that is about 4-5 inches tall right now... I'm going to have to get out Cory's horse blanket and be sure to have Robert put it on him I guess. We've only had 1 night so far this winter that got a couple of degrees below freezing.

I have never seen your home before - it is beautiful - especially with the snow - you sure did get hit didn't you.

Yup, today has been a hunker in and chill out kind of day. We didn't get as much as they predicted but, we have gotten enough.
