October 1st - Happy Birthday to ME!
Another birthday for me today...
...I remember thinking about turning the dreaded "FOUR- ZERO" - and it wasn't all that bad - actually, it was one of the best birthdays ever! Single again for the first time in 22 1/2 years - a whole new life ahead of me - a life where only one vote counted - MINE!
Today, it is 'okay' to be fifty-something... I'm 'okay' with me... 'okay' with my life. Realizing it is 'okay' to NOT be perfect - I'm fine with that. Life is good - I'm where I should be right now. My partner, Mr. Wonderful, is the love of my life - it is great to be married to my very best friend. Salt and pepper hair color offers no worries either - heck - I've even gotten compliments on the looks of it! We love living here in the peaceful woods, love our dogs, my horse, our chickens, and our little house birds. So much to be thankful for - good friends, our great families, and my hubby's job (with me "investigating" other employment opportunities...!) Yes, it is all good!
