This is a TEST!

THIS is a TEST - of the American Broadcasting System! This is ONLY a test! In the event of an ACTUAL emergency..."

I remember this from the interruptions of my favorite TV programs when I was younger. I thought we would always be seeing this on our screen every so often, and be annoyed at the TEST, right at the GOOD part of our show - just because they were 'testing'. Sirens at noon every day would blare from the tops of schools and other tall buildings. Yellow and Black placards were posted on buildings designated for bomb shelters and other disaster shelter purposes. Well, we just don't see this one anymore. The daily sirens at noon have been replaced by sirens on Friday noon, or in some places, no sirens at all. Very few yellow/black placards still remain, at least in our area. A sign of the times, and the comforts we have had in the protection of our government, the powerful United States of America, and our armed forces.

I wonder if sometime in the future (closer than what we dare think!) that this design will be visible upon TV screens once again - more safety zones might be clearly marked by yellow/black - What does our future hold? Pray for our country - Pray for the entire world. Prayer changes things!

Now, I know, that you must be close to me in age, if you remember all this as I do!
Your words are very true, and food for thought...our world is changing, and prayer, is most likely one of the most important things to help us through them!

I guess I'm a little younger than you, because I don't remember this happening in the town that I grew up in. My mom has been staying up late and listening to the radio at nights. The stuff she is telling me is absolutely awful! May God Help Us is any of it is true!
Hugs,
Angela
