Vintage Thingie Thursday

Here is another Vintage Man Thingie - for those of you who might care to 'peek'! Mr. Wonderful had this stashed away for years, and thinks he won it in an auction some time ago. It's a bottle of 'Jigg Day' fish bait - leopard frogs! Yep, real ones, bottled right here in Michigan! The frogs were in pristine condition, the container never opened, and it was amazing! I say 'was' because I listed it in my etsy shop for about 1 week before it sold to a buyer in northern Michigan, who could not resist this taste tempting treat! It is an oddity, no doubt about it, and I did think it was interesting. I could have kept it around in a special display, but only have my china cabinet to put it in right now, and the kitchen just isn't the place for it, and I dare anyone to disagree!!!
Click on the picture above to be transported to more Vintage Thingie Thursday participants! Thanks for visiting!

You are so right not to display it in the kitchen--yucky. And when you say the man who bought it couldn't resist this tasty treat, you mean for the fish not the man. LOL.

I think you win the prize for the most unusual offering today! Very different, that's for sure!

I'm nuts about old jars, and old stuff in them.
Once, I bought an interesting old jar with what appeared to be very old, very smelly varnish of some kind. The weathered label on the jar made it a real prize, no matter what that goo was inside!

Thanks for coming by to see my vintage things.

PS Have no clue what i will do with all those buckles, but maybe just getting a tad bit of an idea! Better remind me to take the challenge of doing something with them!!

I guess it's better than an old jar with a dead mouse like I found in my basement!
Some visitors are getting a "stack overflow" message when they visit my blog. To fix it, try emptying your Temp or Temp Internet folder. Or switch to Firefox as your browser. Just passing on the info in case it happens to you.

Those poor froggies! Are they really real or really fake real?

Oh my. I'm sure you're wishing right now you had held onto those little critters. You may never see such a thing ever again.
Tell me you didn't mean that man was going to eat them himself?? Oh dear.
