As an animal lover, I cannnot resist the soulful eyes that Beagles have! They are such loving dogs if brought up in a family home, but can be very active, and you have to love their "baying" at every knock at the door! A friend years ago had one - a sweet little runt with an umbilical hernia. She felt sorry for it, so she brought it home and later paid for the surgery she needed, and was rewarded with a faithful companion! Beagles DO love to hunt, and this one was no exception! It learned how to escape the confines of their backyard by either digging under the fence, or propelling herself onto the air conditioning unit and sailing up and over the chain link fence! Clever little girl, she was, and so determined! Be sure you study up on Beagles if you are thinking of getting one for your family. They are cute little dogs, but dogs that need a JOB!

Beagles are like herding dogs in that way. They really do need a job, and then they are not destructive and unhappy. That sure is a cute graphic!
Every thing you said is true! Ditto, Ditto, and Ditto. I know from experience!!!!!!! Very loving though.
I bet Chatty grabbed this up quick...this looks just like the dog they had!
