GET R DONE FRIDAY

Welcome to this weeks GET R DONE FRIDAY!! If you are visiting and would like to join in, please do! It is very easy!
All you have to do is:
  • (1) Create post about a project you have completed - it can be something 'crafty', remodeling, planting a vine or a vineyard - it's totally up to you!
  • (2) Link in with the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.
  • (3) Visit all the participants and leave a comment so they know you have stopped by.
  • (4) Be sure to refer viewers back to my blog so everyone can see who is participating today, and if you like - include the GET R DONE FRIDAY picture button (seen at the top of today's post) in your write-up. Please be sure to have your post up before linking in. Thanks so much!
My project for this week is one of the totes I make in my etsy shop, ClassyChassy. A blog site you may have visited is written by "Chatty Crone", and this is the very tote she ordered! When I asked her color preferences, she replied that she would email me a certain picture, and would like the words "CHATTY CRONE" on it, and left the color combination up to me. She is on vacation right now, and as I understand it, she will not have computer access, so bloggers visiting me today will have the pictures first hand, before she gets a clue as to what will await her when she arrives home from her adventures!
Here is a picture of my mother, the "Senior Ripper" as she sometimes calls herself! We work on the sewing orders together. It is a wonderful way to visit and catch up on things that happen during the days we are apart, and we share laughs, jokes and often lunch hour! She also gives great advice! I do so enjoy our time together! Here's the first-ever glimpse of Chatty's new tote! I was concerned about choosing the colors at first - - it had to match or compliment the colors in her cartoon character, and all I could see was pink, purple, and some orange! Yikes Stripes! What's an artist to do?!?!?Then, I remembered an email I received from her - just 'chatting', she said she liked green and lime green in particular. Hmmmmm.....That was just the TICKET!!! (pardon the pun - I could not resist!!!) So that is how I chose the color combination, and it sure looks great!
The picture above is where I applied the finishing stitches around the top of the bag, holding the lining and the inside pocket in place.

Now, lets see what you've been up to! Sign in below to participate, or click on the names to see more of GET R DONE FRIDAY!

Looks like you and your Mom have a good time while y'all work. Love making these purses or totes haven't made any in a long time. You've given me the fever to do them again.

Hey,
Thanks for coming by.

Long hot day here.
We are not used to temps in the 90's, so i really melt.
Feel better now that it is cooling off.
Have a great weekend.
