If it wasn't so true, it'd be funny. When we got married we started slow an easy never bought anything we couldn't pay for. Slowly worked up to what we have, now the kids think they have to have it all before they ever say I do. And all they end up with is a lot of debt.
Man you are right - none of us start with that intention do we?
Funny when we first got married (35 years ago) we were considered upper middle class - we just keep on moving down - and looks like we'll go down again shortly . . .
