GET R DONE FRIDAY - All Kinds of Busy!

Welcome to this weeks' segment of GET R DONE FRIDAY!

If you are visiting and would like to join us, please do! It is very easy! All you have to do is:
  • Create post about a project you have completed - it can be something 'crafty', remodeling, planting a vine or a vineyard - it's totally up to you!
  • Link in with the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.
  • Visit all the participates and leave a comment so they know you have stopped by.
NOTE: Be sure to refer viewers back to my blog so everyone can see who is participating today, and if you like - include the GET R DONE FRIDAY picture button (seen at the top of today's post) in your write-up. Please have your post up before linking in with a perma-link. Thanks so much! This week has been ALL KINDS OF BUSY! Mom and I took in a Creative Serger Class at Lakeshore Sewing Center, and have been looking over some serger attachments that she had forgotten she had for her machine. Of course we had to try some things out, and worked on sewing several single dog bandannas in a Size L to put in the "Kitty and Doggy 2" pet boutique in Rockford, MI.
Also, Mr. Wonderful has nearly completed a new Chook Cottage for my hens!
I started staining it Thursday afternoon, but he has to decide where to place the windows so I'll wait to finish my portion of the workload. He has added an additional row of nest boxes in anticipation of my getting a few more hens next spring. The basic design let me pick and choose which options I'd like for my 'girls'. They will be getting an extra roost, and roomier boxes to set in. I 'put in' for more than one window, and I'm hoping for shutters and a window box, but I understand that since there are now 6 nest boxes, some options just are not possible. Wait and see!
Let me tell you - the LADIES are SICK of camping! The first night was 'BIG FUN' - they jumped up on the edge of the burn barrel to roost for the night - they were planning a small campfire to toast marshmallows, but - when you live in the woods, that can be dangerous when there's been no recent rains; and if you wear gowns made of flammable feathers, well, that is DOUBLY DANGEROUS!
And Suzy - - She's just plain sick and tired of all the bickering they do every single night - who sleeps in which dog house, who gets to roost on the tallest house, and who gets first pick of the 'dainties' that are strewn about for breakfast, lunch and dinner!Just LOOK at them! Suzy doesn't know what the fuss is all about - she's been camping since we first moved to the woods, and she tried to tell them it's no big deal. After a while, she got tired of talking to them, so now she just turns a deaf ear! She'll be one happy horse once that new coop is finished! Thanks for stopping by - and now it's your turn to tell what you've been up to this week - hope it's been something fun and rewarding! Sign on to Mr. Linky below, or check out the posts of others who have linked on to see their GET R DONEs for the week!

Poor Girls! Your Mr. Wonderful better Get R Done soon! lol It is supposed to rain some serious rain and storms this weekend! Their new coop sounds like it is going to be a palace. Are your Girls on strike? Are they still laying eggs for your breakfast?

Get R Done Friday!

Mr. Wonderful had to work late doing inventory this evening, but he did come home and put the roof and legs on the Chicken Cottage. He was tired, took something for the aches and pains, and now is sleeping soundly after only 8 minutes after hitting the sheets!!!

Only one of the girls is laying eggs right now - she is still producing, and the other hens are slacking off! They are a bit younger, so I'm not sure when they will start laying. We are thinking of getting a solar powered light system for their evening indoor reading pleasure - and to hopefully keep them producing during winter. I'll post on that so you'll know if it worked or not!

Is that your mom? She looks so sweet. Makes me miss mine. Yours seems so young looking.

Love your horse.

And your 'girls' - just love hearing the stories of how they fight for their position and place - just like us real girls sometimes.

This is my first visit to your Get R Done posts. Barbara Jean encouraged to think about participating here. I don't have a finished project yet, but may come back later in the day with something. Enjoyed your post.

Yep, it did feel good to Get R Done today. I don't want to mess it up now. LOL! Since my tummy is still having troubles taking in food, I won't be cooking much tonight. Should stay pretty clean for tonight anyway.

Hi it's me, Miss Kylie!! I saw over on Dozer and Coop and Dottie's blog that you were trying to find out the story behind PINK BABY! Well, she's MY PINK BABY! You can read all about her journey over at my blog and then click on the blue "PINK BABY TRACKER" on my side bar! It will bring you to the rules and how to play! Glad to have met you and I will be sure to come over and sniff around more!
Licks,
Kylie

The rules for Pink Baby and the story behind her adventure are found on my blog: Where in the World is Kylie’s Pink Baby!?

I LOVE my little pink stuffed doggie. (Mommy: Kylie actually has had multiple babies because she tends to love them so much, they fall apart!) Now that I have so many furends around the entire WORLD I wanted to prove to Mommy and Daddy that my doggie furends expand all over! I would like to start a new game of sorts if you would like to play with me!! Here is how it will work. I would like to send Pink Baby on an ADVENTURE!! I would like her to come and see YOU! I will pack Pink Baby up with all her supplies (she doesn’t need much) and send her to the first person who replies to this post saying they want to play!

Once you get Pink Baby, it is your job to show her a good time! She will stay with you for ONE WEEK!! You have to take her out and take pictures of her adventures with you and post them on your blog so I can show Mommy and Daddy that I really do have furends all around!! Maybe you can even show her a meal that is a tradition in your part of the world or other cultural experiences!

Once your week is up, I ask you to post a blog to see where Pink Baby will go next. She travels to the first person who replies to your request. There will be a journal in the package. I would love it if you could maybe add an entry in her journal so when she gets home I can read all about her adventures and keep it as a great keepsake of all my friends.

I sure hope that this is a game that you will want to play with me! I would love to see how many places Pink Baby will go and how many NEW furends her and I might make!

Licks,
Kylie

---- I will have to talk to Dozer and Dottie and Cooper to see why they didn't post her farewell post to see where she is going next.

Monica,
I thought i had visited Linnea, but i guess not as her post did not seem familiar when i was just there again.
Must have dreamed it.
Anyway, nice to have her and others on board this week.

Hope you are having a great weekend.
