Please have your post up before linking in with a perma-link. Thanks so much! The project I'm posting about is perfect for the Halloween Season! Can you see why?Certainly! The lights are ON in the Chicken Palace - Mr. Wonderful put the finishing touches on the Coop du Jeur! The extension cord is bright egg yolk yellow, so easy to distinguish from other cords used in the garage and potting shed - plus the plug in ends glow in the dark - easy to find after hours. The picture above was taken using a flash; for the first few nights, the girls didn't quite know what to make of the lights ---they knew it was time to hunker down. Their internal clocks were functioning perfectly. But that bright light!!! "GIVE US A BREAK (or we'll break those eggshells!)" They were running around outside periodically, peeking out the door, peeking out the window - they just could not get a grip on their PERCHES!!! Their feathers were all in a fluff! They finally settled down and accepted it after two nights of lights on till 11pm (when the timer kicks off), and now it is "old hat" (or comb - depending on your headgear preference!).It actually looks quite cozy, doesn't it? And, they appear to enjoy the extra socialization time as they quiet down from the day's activities. They used to lay eggs at random, but since the light was added, even this early in the season, they have their eggs ready for pick up first thing in the morning! Much easier for ME! I kinda like that! But WAIT!..... What's that in the window???? A ghostly apparition???..... Nope - It's only MARILYN...She's next up for the Shadow Puppets Game!!!!

Please visit the other blogs listed on Mr. Linky, or sign in yourself to post your GET R DONE project! Thanks for visiting - and have a great weekend!

Surprise - I have something ready for tomorrow!

I love your hen house - you need to decorate it for Halloween - a pumpkin or something.

This would have been a fun post any time of year, but the lighting makes it perfect for October!

Glad the girls have adjusted to their new home. :)

Oops, I just realized I didn't use a permalink with Mister Linky. I don't know how to correct that now, but I will get it right next time.
