It's time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail' over at Angela's West Virginia Treasures! If you have a cute story and picture of a pet, or any furry (or non-furry) friend, you are welcome to join in! Check her blog for the rules, post away - and thanks, Angela, for being our host!Amazing encounters with animals come natural to me, and some years back in Illinois I was lucky enough to meet a fella with a herd of fainting goats guarded by a "Watch Llama"! Amos claimed llamas made great guardians for almost any herd of animal in the world - as a matter of fact, they guard better than DOGS. Of course I had to see for myself!
I approached the small pasture with interest, camera in hand. A tall tan llama approached, but his eyes said clearly "Ye may Look - but do not TOUCH!". I was disappointed, but Amos tossed a biscuit to me saying his llama would gladly accept treats. As I readied my camera for a photo, Amos said he would like to make a bet with me.
"I'm a bettin' you'd be skeered to have this here llama take a biscuit right out of your mouth," he wagered. "Betcha ya can't DO it!"
"I have no problem with it", I told Amos, "but if he rips my face off, be prepared for me to sue the SOCKS off you AND your first born child!"
I held the biscuit with my lips, one end of the treat protruding forward, tempting the llama to reach for the tasty morsel. His eyes grew wide as he zeroed in on the treat, and....
ZAPPO! He grabbed it so quickly, and I SWEAR I saw that llama boy WINK at me! Amos laughed and said I had nerves of steel! He'd had other people try it, but "they always got skeered and dropped the biscuit before that derned critter could grab it!" I did it again for the camera, but the llama was too quick for the shutter, so I never did get the moment captured in time. I raised my camera for the parting shot, but that llama zeroed in, his eyes narrowing, and....
...what you see is what I got! Happy Tuesday, y'all!

I always wanted to have Llamas, so I could give them cool names.
Like Mohamma Llama, Rhama Llama, Obama Llama, Kilomellama
and of course Dolly Llama.
Bahama Mama Llama...
Oh, yeah, my herd of Llamas would make Dr. Seuss proud...
I would look for a chicken tie, but I just don't know what kind of ties chickens wear...
Egad woman!!! Was that the roof of the llama's mouth????
I swore I saw tonsils! You Michigan gals are cuckoo! I can say that, having been born in Hillsdale!
OMG! You so get the photo of the day award!!
Was there a big wad of nastiness a few seconds after that last shot? Those are NASTY suckers for spitting at you! On of them spat a nasty bunch of stinky smelly spit on one of the ponies my kids were riding as we passed by a corral once! I've seen others do it to!
That would have been a neat trick though, to let it take that out of your mouth! Don't think I could have held still for it!
What away to wake up! Good pictures!
OK you win - a llama mouth and throat! Take that girlies!!! ha ha So glad you weren't skeered - you brave little choo choo you! Crack me up ~ ♥

Love your banner, too cute. Thank you for visiting my blog.
You are much braver than I!
Okay, you know I love you - but you're either the bravest thing in the whole world or the nuttiest! That would scare me to death.
Love,
Sandie
