Many of you know that I have Pembroke Welsh Corgis. But did you know I have a cat too? This is Fancy Lou - a Calico I was given as a kitten in 1999. Fancy has the softest fur! She has traveled with me to N.Carolina, to Illinois, and back to Michigan, handling each trip amazingly well. We've had many homes together.
A few years ago Mom decided to sell the home that she and dad shared for many years, and got a very spacious apartment. She no longer has to worry about yard upkeep or any maintenance chores that come with home ownership, but she was lacking one small thing....a fuzzy companion to bring her joy and annoyance! Enter Stage Left - - - Fancy LOU!
Just look at her gorgeous fur (and glowing yellow eyes!)! I gave her to mom on the condition that I get her back when mom no longer cares to keep her anymore. At first I worried at how Fancy would adjust to yet another new living space. NO WORRIES! She took to mom and her new routines just fine! She taps mom on the arm or leg when she wants to hop up and be petted or brushed. Fancy loves to play with shoelaces and also any necklace that might be around mom's neck at any given time! She will not abandon her in the most private of instances (when nature calls). Fancy is a TRUE FRIEND! To MOM, that is. Not to ME. She used to be MY pal, but now she runs and hides whenever I come to visit - refuses to be anywhere near me! Do you think it's because she catches the delicate scent of "corgi"? What a cat! The perfect buddy for mom!
