Dog Daze of Summer

Corgi Life in Puppy Prison - not as rosy as it seems
Heat and Humidity seem to run hand in hand these days in our area, and across the States.  Everyone is Melting!
"I'm melting, melting!  Oh what a world- what a world!"
Last summer I picked up a child's Turtle Sandbox at a yard sale and turned it into a pool for the Corgis to go swimming in!  They love it, and when it's so hot, they will jump right in and swirl around to play, and the cool water is a wonderful beverage too!  As the temps rise, they require more liquids, so when you are feeling rather warm, please remember your pets wearing those hot fur coats!
"Kibbie Float"
Make them a "Kibbie Float" by first placing the regular amount of dry kibble in a serving dish, and add fresh water!  A super treat and can be served morning and evening!

It's sweltering here in Arkansas too. Great ideas, esp. the doggie pool. Old Man Ben stays in the house, under the ceiling fans or on top of a floor vent blowing COLD air! Stay cool...

Great post Monica! It is just so hot and humid here too! I have been putting ice cubes in my dogs water bowls to help cool them down. I love your kibble float! That is just too cute!

Hope the fall weather comes soon! It is supposed to be hot and humid like this for a few more days around here. Yuck!

Hugs,
Angela

Great post Monica~the humidity and heat is so high, the gardens are wilted eventho we've had rain. Imagine what that heat/humidity does to animals. I'm always thinking of the poor dogs/cats who aren't cared for...have ignorant owners, or worse, are running loose. Makes one cringe, doesn't it?

My 5 dogs have a children's pool . we tried to get the babies to consider jumping into the pool, no luck. we use it during the summer for bath time. Rose

Hi Monica!

Oh, I am so bummed! Troy and I planned to visit you this past week. but, (if you have read either of our posts regarding our vacation) as you know, our vacation did not go as planned!

Maybe we will have to make a Fall trip up.

Hope all is well with you and the Mr.!

Love the kibbie float. Stella insists I make her one immediately, as it's hotter than heck out here!
