Digging In to Fall

SO Thankful we have cooler weather finally.  Summer has been beastly hot this year!  Yesterday we brought home 50 bales of hay from our supplier, and we're going back for a few more.  They want to store their machinery in their lean-to, so we're going to help clean that area out for them.  They have mowers and balers, and also equipment they use for their lawn service that need to be cleaned up and stored for winter.  We don't have much storage room here on our place, and can only stash about 60 bales of hay at a time, so we're able to go to their house and pick up hay as we need it. They don't charge us extra to store our hay there, either.  We are so thankful for that family and their generosity!  I believe God has seen their kindness and has blessed them this year.  While many other farm folk have had hay rained on and ruined after it's been cut, this family has had a great hay harvest every single time, all 3 cuttings!
I've got to get out and cut back some of the flowers in my circle garden this week...many are spent, and I'd like to do a little something different, if I can get my imagination going, to re-work the appearance of that garden for next spring.  Maybe while I'm digging around in there, I can come up with a new idea for re-vamping it.  It's kind of like re-arranging furniture, in a way - only harder work is involved AND different muscle groups!  Am I up for it???  Wait 'n' See!

How nice - neighbors helping neighbors - that is the way it should be. You are getting ready for winter aren't you? Sandie w/♥

It IS hard work to set up and tear down gardens, that's for sure. It's always a dreaded project in the fall, but necessary.
Your bartering system, helping each other out like that, is a good way to do things. It's good neighboring as well. People remember things like that.
God's hand is in many things....
