I have been so tired of searching for employment. Bad enough to have gotten only 3 interviews in over 15 months in these economic conditions. Twice I thought I had landed something, only to find out that the encouraging words from the interviewers was false. Not on the part of my interpretation of their words - they told me that they were impressed with my experience and knowledge - that the last candidate they had to interview before the final decision would be made clearly had no training, no knowledge of what was expected of them!
I phoned Mr. Wonderful yesterday evening near the end of the day to report that the job I thought I had landed last week had been given to someone with less experience, someone "younger". I asked him to pick up a couple of things at the store on his way home from work.....I was really bummed. When he walked in the door, I got this:
When I asked what the occasion was, he simply said "Congratulations - on the WORST JOB you NEVER GOT!" Now, doesn't that bring tears to your eyes?? How sweet he IS!

Oh, that is the sweetest thing I have heard in a while! He is a keeper!!!
Oh my goodness Monica, those roses are so beautiful - just like you - and he KNOWS it.
It was the companies loss.
You're job is just right around the corner.
Love,
Sandie
Wow...what a man! That is such a sweet gesture and I'm sure it really brightened your day!
Hey Monica!
Mr. Wonderful sure is Wonderful! He sure is a keeper! I'm sorry you didn't get the job.
Hugs,
Angela
That fella of yours certainly lives up to his name!!!
He's clever, tenderhearted, and just darn cute!
You're a lucky gal, and you know it too.
Love the color of those roses.
That was a poopy ol' job anyway.
I found time and time again, in my long search that the young and stupid got every job. Experience and strong work ethic meant nothing. I always told myself, that they GOT what they deserved.
God has a special wink for you (as Chatty says)...just wait for it. It's coming Monica!
what a sweetie! beautiful roses...
bet the job you get will be better than the one you didn't get. (hug)
What a nice and thoughtful thing your husband did. Sometimes, you can be over qualified. Sounds dumb for an excuse. Trust you will find something soon. Hang in there.
Monica,
That is sooo sweet!
What a great guy to do that.
You know what? Regarding that mystery item on my blog, maybe a coffee grinder or, as you said, could hold matches. I never even thought of putting a nest in it till you said something!
Am I sick??
Blessings and thanks for visiting.
