Farewell and Fond Memories - Pink Baby
...Some parting shots of Pink Baby during her stay with us in Michigan...We will have some great memories of her visit with us! Here are some of the fun things she got to do while spending time in our home.
...helping to stack firewood for the winter....
...ready to go horseback riding, seated in my Aussie Outback Saddle...
...on the swing with a Pileated Woodpecker friend...
Hang on TIGHT, Pink Baby!
The woods is full of new and wondrous things just waiting to be discovered!...She thought this was a Michigan Rawhide, but it isn't! It's called a "lichen", and she's a LIKEN' it!.
Here's Pink Baby with her woodland friends! We all hate to say goodbye, but it is time for her to leave us. She is headed off to N. Manchester, IN, to spend time with Corgidogmama and her furry family! Corgidogmama will be posting about Pink Baby's stay on her blog, so keep an eye out - and if you are the first one to comment when the time comes to advertise the need for a new 'foster home' for Pink Baby, you will be chosen to host Pink Baby where you live, provided you are willing to follow the rules, which also include providing a tracking number for Pink Baby and her travel journal. Pink Baby belongs to Miss Kylie, and is spreading PINK JOY throughout the world!

Where in the World is Kylie's Pink Baby?
I've received many questions from bloggers who aren't familiar with Pink Baby and where she originated from. Not surprising, as I was once wondering, myself! Click on the picture above to be transported over to Kylie's blog and read the post at that link. If you type in the words "Pink Baby" at the tip top of her blog at wordpress where it says 'archives', a medium sized host of stops that Pink Baby has made will appear and you can read about her adventures there. PB has even gone to Singapore! Amazing journeys for such a little traveler!!! Pink Baby has a destination directive after her visit here is complete at the week's end, and I will tell you where she is going on her last day with us, so you can follow her journey to the next blogger who will be hosting her - and from there you will be able to perhaps be chosen to host her in your very own home, as we are doing this week!

Pink Baby
After getting rested up, Pink Baby was ready for the activities to begin! We took her shopping at Kitty and Doggie 2, in Rockford Michigan! She came home with treats and trinkets galore! What was not edible were things to wear - and she asked Sissy to help her get herself presentable with her fashions for our photos today. She had a lovely pink collar when she arrived, and at one of her stops, a friend gave her a St. Christopher medal to protect her during her travels.

Get Away Weekend!
We are back from our long weekend get-away...a scenic autumnal drive to Northern Michigan was a real treat! The colors were glowing the farther north we drove....
Shanty Creek Resort was our destination, and it exceeded our expectations. This was a special event sponsored by Mr. Wonderful's employer - the company was celebrating 65 years in business, and handed out awards to employees who had been with the company 5, 10, 20, 25 and 30 years. The Awards Banquet was very nicely done - great food and drink. The speeches were not boring, and even I, who do not work for them, found it interesting to learn about the beginnings of their medical supply business, and enjoyed looking at the early black and white pictures on the screen display.
All rooms had spectacular views, but scenes from the main lodge were the best! We drove down some 'unimproved' Michigan roads (aka "2-Tracks"). There were lots of surprises, and many small waterways.

Back to civilization, and time to go home on Sunday....we were sad to leave, but always happy to return home to our pets. And a wondrous surpirse awaited us as we walked in our door....
PINK BABY HAS ARRIVED!!! Cuddled up in a warm 'throw', she has her bedtime treat and is ready for her week-long adventures in Michigan!!!
